The Simpl-Cut® Difference
Blade changes, glue cleanup, and format adjustments can create long production stops on traditional roll-fed labelers. Simpl-Cut® is designed to reduce those interruptions.
Its dual-function vacuum drum cuts and transfers labels in one system. A fixed, tool-free knife cartridge eliminates realignment, while applying glue before the cut helps protect the drum from buildup.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What teams ask before moving forward.
What Is Simpl-Cut®?
Simpl-Cut® is a rotary roll-fed labeling system for hot melt and pre-glued wraparound labels. Its dual-function vacuum drum combines label cutting and transfer in one system, helping simplify machine architecture and routine maintenance.
Can It Integrate Into An Existing Line?
Yes. Simpl-Cut® can operate as a standalone roll-fed labeler or as a station on the P.E. Labellers Modular SL rotary platform. P.E. Labellers can recommend the right configuration after reviewing your line, containers, labels, and production requirements.
How Does Simpl-Cut® Reduce Cleaning And Maintenance?
Glue is applied before the cut to help protect the drum from buildup, while the single-drum design reduces the number of main components to clean and maintain. A fixed, tool-free knife cartridge simplifies knife changes and reduces the steps required for routine blade maintenance. Transparent filter covers also allow visual inspection without disassembly.
How Does Simpl-Cut® Handle Different Label Sizes And Materials?
The single drum can be configured with up to six divisions to accommodate a wide range of label sizes. A vacuum tension system uses air instead of mechanical rollers, supporting thinner films and a broader range of label thicknesses.
How Does Simpl-Cut® Simplify Reel Changes?
An automatic splicing system comes standard, allowing reel changes without stopping production or requiring operator intervention.
How Is Simpl-Cut® Designed For Operators?
The round machine design, circular guards, and radial labeling unit improve access during operation and maintenance. An HMI-integrated jog control also allows one-handed operation during adjustments.
How Fast Can Simpl-Cut® Run?
Up to 82,000 bottles per hour, depending on the container, label, application, machine configuration, and surrounding line.
